This AI Readiness project was created on 5 pilot projects that were carried out in Maltese schools, facilitated through diplomatic channels between Finland and Malta.

Shaping Malta’s Educational Future: Our AI Initiative Spotlighted in the Sunday Times
Our commitment to integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Malta’s educational landscape has garnered significant attention as it has recently been showcased in a comprehensive article in the Sunday Times of Malta.
This initiative aligns with Malta’s broader Digital Education Strategy 2025–2030, which emphasizes the importance of digital literacy and AI education as a fundamental 21st-century skill.
By introducing AI concepts at an early age, we aim to equip students with essential skills for navigating an AI-driven future. The Sunday Times feature provides an in-depth look at how our pilot projects are shaping the future of AI education in Malta.

What was discussed with the Honorable Clifton Grima, the Minister of Education in Malta?
A meeting was organized by Ambassador Dr Kenneth Vella with the Hon. Clifton Grima, the Minister of Education in Malta.
We discussed how Lincoln Method can play a role in working with schools and collaboratively launch an AI integration roadmap for schools.

Lincoln School Oy Awarded Accreditation for AI Teaching Programme
Lincoln School Oy has been awarded accreditation for “Teaching AI to Primary and Secondary School Students using the Lincoln Method” by the Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education.
The programme has been officially recognized at the MQF Level 3, marking a significant achievement in advancing AI education for young learners.
This five-year accreditation, valid from 18th June 2024 to 18th June 2029, highlights our commitment to delivering high-quality educational programmes that meet the highest standards.

Q: What was the Malta AI Readiness project?
A: The Malta AI Readiness project introduces AI courses to primary and secondary schools in Malta.
Q: What did schools be taught in the AI courses?
A: The AI courses, developed in collaboration with the AI industry in Finland, covered popular tools addressing problem-solving, planning, content creation, entrepreneurship, internet safety, and more.
Q: Why were schools being invited for a free AI class?
A: Lincoln Method invited 6 schools in Malta for a free class to provide a taste of AI tools shaping the new AI economy.
Q: How did our tutors help students in Malta learn AI?
A: Our dedicated tutors guided the students through interactive AI courses, ensuring a hands-on learning experience.
Q: Where was the course held?
A: The course was conducted at the schools, in the computer lab with internet connectivity.
Q: How many students were in the course?
A: The course accommodated up to 10-15 students.
Q: When was the course conducted?
A: The course was conducted from January 20th to January 26th, 2024.
Q: Who was teaching the course?
A: Our team from Finland flew to Malta to teach the course.
Q: How did parents and the school know if the students liked the course?
A: Students created a 1-minute video about their experience, shared to increase awareness of safe AI usage. Parents signed a consent form for their child to be filmed.
Q: What was taught in the course?
A: The students were taught how to use an AI tool that converts text to video. The course content for that day revolved around how students can create presentations and explainer videos.

Q: How long was the class?
A: The class was of 1 hour long during which the students were:
- Given the assignment
- Taught the tool
- Created a video report by recording themselves (all students must have signed the consent form)
- Uploaded their work for grading
Q: Who was be able to see the students’ video report?
- All students within the class were able to see other students’ videos.
- The video reports were shown to the school administration.
- The video reports were shown to the Ministry of Education in Malta, and other relevant offices that are engaging in adding AI courses to the national curriculum.
All participating students need to have a consent form signed by their parents.
